This is the Agfa Super Silette and “super” is right.  It’s got the much sought after 50mm 2.0 Solagon lens and it’s  a good  one.  It’s a simple rangefinder with a great lens. Agfa made many different versions of the Super Silette with most of them having either the Solinar lens or the Apotar. It’s a small,  two-tone camera
with a solid weight.  This one came with the original lens cap and a fine leather case which is also for the Ambi-Silette according to the bottom of the case. The Ansco Super Memar is the same camera with a different name. I took it out for a test drive and the pictures came out sharp.  I
can see why many want to have this camera.  The case itself speaks of the quality that Agfa  put  into their products.  You won’t see anything like it today, regardless of how much you pay for the camera.  You’ll have to go pioneer and shoot your own cow and do the leather work yourself, if you want one.  The Germans certainly knew how to make camera cases, not to mention cameras.
